Steve Austin

Steve Austin is a thirtysomething husband and dad. He scored “above average” on his psychologist’s ADHD test, different foods on his plate cannot touch, and he binge watches Netflix like it’s his j-o-b. He's a writer, worship pastor, and a professional photographer. He's also a volunteer member of the RAINN Speakers Bureau. But sign language interpreting is what pays the bills (yep - he knows all the cuss words). Steve writes about the messiness of grace, finding Christ in the midst of mental illness, the struggles with childhood trauma and the ordinary, powerful ways God heals us. For Steve, Christianity isn’t about being on the left or right or judging the actions of others. It’s about taking my messy story and using it to positively impact others with similar struggles. It’s about giving all those rotten things in life meaning, and eventually a purpose, through Christ Jesus.
